KUALA LUMPUR, April 25, 2025 – Bin Zayed International Group (BZI) and FatHopes Energy (FHE) have announced a strategic partnership to develop one of the world’s most advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) refineries in Port Klang, Malaysia.
This collaboration combines BZI’s global investment expertise with FHE’s leadership in sustainable biofuel feedstock aggregation. The partnership aims to create an integrated SAF production facility, one of the first of its kind in Southeast Asia and among the most advanced globally.
Pioneering a Cleaner Future for Aviation
The Port Klang facility will:
Produce significant volumes of SAF via the HEFA pathway, which accounts for over 80% of global SAF production.
Explore advanced SAF technologies alongside FHE’s refining partners and technology providers.
Serve as a scalable, climate-aligned SAF platform for the region.
This initiative supports Malaysia’s goal to produce 1 million tonnes of SAF annually, positioning the country as a key player in the global SAF market.
