The Korean government has announced a landmark move: starting 2027, all international flights departing from Korea will be required to use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). beginning with a 1% blend and scaling up to as much as 10% by 2035.
Why does this matter?
👉 SAF can cut carbon emissions by up to 80% compared with conventional jet fuel.
👉 It creates new demand for circular economy solutions, such as converting used cooking oil (UCO) into drop-in SAF.
👉 It signals the growth of a global SAF market, supported by governments, airlines, and energy innovators.
At FatHopes Energy, we are proud to be part of this global movement by collecting and transforming UCO into sustainable biofuels that power the future of aviation.
This is more than regulation. It’s an opportunity to redefine energy, reduce reliance on imports, and turn everyday waste into wealth for communities and industries alike.
🚀 The future of flying is being reshaped, and we’re excited to keep pushing boundaries in making sustainable skies a reality.
